I went to Denver for a weekend in October. Despite a blizzard on Thursday, by the time I arrived on Friday night, most of the snow was gone. Saturday and Sunday, the mid day temperature was about 70 degrees.
The Rocky Mountains are beautiful, especially when they are snow covered. These photos were all taken from Denver. Unobstructed views are difficult to find from a place where there aren't powerlines, trees, or buildings in the way. Most of these are cropped to leave out the city and just show the mountains.
Blue skys were present on Saturday, it clouded up a bit on Sunday.

The Denver Botanic Garden was on the agenda for Sunday. There are several sculptures in the garden.

The relief on this wall seems to record the movement to the west.

I took several photos of the plantlife. Some in the Botantic Gardens and some elsewhere. This time of year, plants have lost their leaves but seed pods remain abundant.

The cactus in the Botanical Garden was colorful.

Despite the snowy week, there were flowers still in boom.

This grasshopper seemed to be stuck to the wall and was struggling to escape. Perfect for a close up photo.

I went for a walk at a city park. There was a American White Pelican in a pond, looking for food.

Finally a couple of photos of my sister and myself.

If she hadn't been holding my camera to take my picture, the snowball would have been headed her direction.
