New Mexico Ride Day 7 -Cedar Crest to Corrales

By Gary Gilbert

The last day was a short day, about 36 miles from Cedar Crest back to Corrales.   The first part was mostly downhill from 7000 feet to 5600 feet. We arrived near the city boundary of Albuquerque, turned north along Sandia Peak and climbed back up to about 6000 feet before heading west to Corrales a 5000 feet.  I had stayed in a B&B the night before and rose to a wonderful breakfast.  I stopped for lunch in Corrales.  After preparing my bike for its return trip home, I got a ride to the airport, picked up a rental car, and headed to my hotel.  I left for home the next morning.

Central Road, on the east side of Albuqeurque.

Views of Albuquerque from Sandia Peak, looking west.
