The Hermitage is Andrew Jackson's home in Nashville Tennessee. The 7th President lived here. Andrew Jackson became famous due to his success at the Battle of New Orleans which ended the War of 1812. A controversial president, who closed the Second Bank of the United States to curtail the power of banks, who initated the movement of the Cherokee Nation along the Trail of Tears, and who was a federalist and slave owner. The image on the $20 bill is Jackson. See http://www.thehermitage.com/ for information about Jackson and the museum.
