Surf City

The beach at Surf City. Dunes separate the beach from the community. Surf City is on Topsail Island, roughly half way between Wilmington NC and Jacksonville NC. I did laundry in Holly Ridge, which is on the mainland, just a couple of miles west of Surf City. If you are even in the area, I recommend Easy Washer on Highway 17 in Holly Ridge. The owner, Tommy Oliver is a Chicago Cubs fan.
Late afternoon, people are outnumbered by shore birds.
