Cycle North Carolina began in Blowing Rock. It was a cold rainy day. Many riders camped inside the gym rather than deal with the muddy soccer field. Since I used Bubba's Pampered Pedalers services, my tent was set up and I had a dry place to sleep. http://www.bubbaspamperedpedalers.com/ Most nights this week, temperatures were in the mid 40s. Nice sleeping weather.
The Team Lighthouse group was smaller than previous years. John Yount and Cal Anderson.

Joe Keenan and Linda Drish both dropped out at the last minute due to other commitments. We didn't catch up with Tom Timmons until later in the week. We were saddened to learn after our return that John Lovecchio had passed away the previous week.
