Many cyclists publish information about their ongoing and completed tours on the web. Here are a few that I've found interesting.

These are journals of other riders whose stories inspire me. I haven't met any of these riders. I only know them from their Internet presence.
- There are many riders tour journals at http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/
- Mark and Juliette: In July 2002 we set out to travel from Liverpool to Australia, cycling much of the way. We are allowing two years for the trip (maybe a bit longer...) and hope to take our time and see something of the various countries we will be passing through. http://www.mark-ju.net/
- Charlie: This summer I'm riding my bike to all 30 Major League baseball parks to see a game at each one. I'm doing this mostly for the adventure, but will also be using the trip as an opportunity to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. http://www.hitforthecycle.org
- Tony: I rode my trusty bicycle a bit over 500 miles in five and half days following, more or less, the Grand IllinoisTrail http://www.atoms.net/fotoes/GIT/index.htm
- On September 4, 2002 four Sacramento Wheelmen departed Sacramento under the leadership of Bob Hawkins to begin an ambitious quest to visit on loaded bicycles all 21 missions in California. The missions, starting in Sonoma, extend over 700 miles down the coast all the way to San Diego. The route would be far from straight, however, as they would have to meander back and forth over the coastal range to see all of the missions http://home.att.net/~dlstorm/Missiontour.htm
- Jerry and Jeannette's tours http://www.touringonbikes.us/
- Kristin Sullivan of Philadelphia, PA is biking from Alaska to Chile in order to get YOU to think about the environment. There are so many ways we can lower our impact on the environment if we're just willing to sacrifice a little bit everyday. Read through the website to find out more about Kristin - who she is and where she plans to go! http://www.earthcycle.org/
- Follow our odyssey as we cycle from Canada to Mexico, a distance of 1830 miles, during the summer of 2005 to raise awareness of Celiac Disease. Steve and Alessandra, a father and daughter team, will pilot their tandem bicycle the entire distance, carrying food, camping equipment and all supplies with them on the bike. http://www.ttfc.org/
- Susan and I started riding bikes again in the fall of 1996. We had gone to Fripp Island for a long weekend. While there we rented a couple of fixed gear beach cruisers. Neither of us had ridden since our youth, and we had forgotten all the fun a bike could bring. Upon returning home we decide to give each other a bike for Christmas, and that started it all. Five bikes later, three VBT bike tours, three self supported tours, and too many day trips to mention we are still pedaling. Along the way we even managed to quit smoking. We have ridden our bikes in the beauty of the Arcadia National Park in Maine, and our tandem through a tropical storm on the Outer Banks of North Carolina while pulling our BOB trailer. While biking is not all we are, it has certainly given us a lot of great memories, and the promise of many more.
Skip http://www.geocities.com/skipbowers/bikingpage - I suppose that many of you visiting this site will think that I'm a bicycling nut! Your assumption would be quite correct, and I make no apologies.
So, if you're at all interested in the ramblings of such a nut, sit back, click that mouse and browse away! http://www.adamk.ca/index.htm - Jamie Nobel's tour around Lake Huron http://glt_lakehuron.crazyguyonabike.com
- Ed Groth's description of the FANY Ride in NY. Jane and I participated in the fourth annual FANY ride, July 25-31, 2004. FANY stands for many things such as "Festival Across New York" or "Five hundred miles Across New York," or whatever you'd like! In any case, it's pronounced "fanny," as in what gets sore after 500 miles on a bicycle!http://physics.princeton.edu/~groth/random_pics/bikerides/fany_jul2004/FANY_2004.HTMLX

I got a crazy idea to take my full suspension mountain bike on a 300+ km road trip. Due to some serious mechanical difficulties, I only made it for about 260 km. The pain and agony of defeat!
Anyway, it inspired me to buy a touring bike: T2000 Cannondale. It arrived only days after my ill -fated adventure. I assembled it Saturday evening and did a 200 km trip on Sunday. I did several long rides that spring. On one of them, I got the idea that I would "ride across Canada.' It was rather insane, as my life time total was likely around 400 km on a road bike by then http://followjim.crazyguyonabike.com
